Here are two more paintings to go with the painting of the hiking path as a set of three. Both of these were painted from pictures taken off Google for practice. Both done in gouache on 6″x6″ MDF panel and sealed with Krylon Crystal Clear to protect the paint. Colors adjusted in photoshop to compensate for my scanner. Advertisements
This is a painting done from a photo taken by a friend on a hiking trail. Done in gouache on 6″x6″ MDF panel and sealed with Krylon fixative spray to protect the paint. The colors were punched up a bit in photoshop to compensate for my scanner’s tendency to wash out colors.
So the squash project I started a few months ago got pretty derailed between finishing the actual drawings and getting them digitally cleaned and prepped for posting on Society6. But they’re all finally done! Here is the finished art print. Th previous post on this project only showed the cleaned squash drawings themselves, and that was all the way back in early June. Obviously the final print has a patterned and colored background to make it more interesting, and there […]
This human skull is the last (for now) in my series of animal skulls. Like the others it was done in ink on bristol board and cleaned up in Adobe Photoshop. Prints are available at my store, along with t-shirts, mugs, laptop skins, tote bags, and other interesting swag. And just as a re-cap, these were all previous pieces:

And now in addition to apparel, all four designs are also available on mugs and laptop/ipad […]

Here is design one: And design two: The font used in these images is called “Honey Script” and can be downloaded for free on dafont. More skulls are in the works, and other types of merchandise (like coffee mugs) will be available soon too. […]
Who doesn’t love skulls? A couple months ago I went to the “Skulls” exhibit at the California Academy of Sciences. I’ve always enjoyed drawing skulls. They have such interesting shapes and contours, and there are no shiny parts or fur to worry about. So I decided to do a series of animal skulls. They are going to be part of a cool project, but for now, here are just the first three skulls I did. Drawn from photo reference. Painted in […]
